i still remember 1998-2003. If you are not above 20 I will tell u the real Scenario, when kissan-jam (that was his famous add) boy dravid comes to bat people used to switched off tv sets & go to study or on lunch or to sleep or atleast to take a leak. absolute zero voice in spectators most of them go out to have lunch. fielders used to stand idle for hours.then Some start excrsizing, warming up Some are chatting with audiences at boundry line. Few are keeping their one hand on chin & supporting the elbow of that hand with other hand.Others are just watching helplessly. comentrators yawning & speaking about history of ground & surroundings & other general knowlage stuff by diverting the mind of people from what is happening on ground. bowlers slowing up with shorter run-ups.
